External Programs Student Services Officer

We are looking for candidates to provide student services, to counsel, and to reach out to the external programs students about the study abroad and university options available at the American University of Yangon (AU) and British University of Yangon (BU). The successful candidate will work closely with the education consultants from the admissions team and with the External Programs Coordinator.


  • Join the external programs coordinator in making meaningful content for and participating in orientations, field trips, and graduation events for the external programs

  • Get to know the external programs students, reach out and provide consultation services for study abroad and university options available at AU and BU

  • Work closely with the admissions team and identify and follow up external programs students who have potential to excel and benefit from studying abroad

  • Provide education consultation services to the prospective students and parents

  • Gather and consolidate the needs and wants of the students and parents and contribute to the marketing team with ideas for recruitment events, efforts, and timeline

  • Any other related responsibilities that arise

  • Experience studying in the US or UK

  • Being or having been a teacher to high school aged students

  • Public speaking skills and strong education values

  • Excelled academically in high school and university

  • Experience working minimum 2 years in student recruitment, sales and marketing

  • Experience working at a foreign company or studying abroad

  • A millennial
